We are a Young pair, having a little kennel with at the time 7 beagles at home and more in coownership with special friends.
Mortens experience with beagles goes back to his first beagle in 1985. In the time until now,
he have build a strong picture of the type of beagle that he prefer. The keyword is type and bloodline, with good mental temperament and health. In our own breed we do try not to breed to close on lines, but more on typebreeding.
For us the most important thing is to having a part of a good beagle, not that it have to have our kennel name. We do with having 9 well-producing studdogs during the past 14 years, have a part in many of the good beagles in Denmark, and some promising puppies are on their way to the top in Holland,
Sweeden, Belgium, Italy, Slovakia, Czeck and Germany.
Because we under normal circumstances only get so few puppies at our own kennel, we do use much time and energy in giving each puppy a good socialization, and we are following up on them all, so that the owners get all the help we can give.
A serius way to woork with the breed is when a breeder know as mutch as possible about the bloodlines they woork with. Thats the reason why we do try to work with all aspects of the breed, type, bloodlines, health, temperament and beauty ness.
We do send all our puppies out with a puppy mentaltest, and do encourage the puppybuyers to patisipate in a Youth Mental Test within the first 2 years. With this tests we get a knoledge about the combinations we do work with.
We will after 2006 slow down with breeding and will after 2006 only sparringly be breeding puppies, but will ofcource be able to ofer some good studdogs for the breed of different combinations.
Overview over Show results of our ofspring until 2005:
From the first litter in our breedername was born in the summer of 1997 until january 2005, there are born 130 beagles in our kennelname. 47 of them have been showed at least 1 time (35 %).
Of the shown ofspring they have been placed with the following results in %: 60% of the shown ofspring has got a CK (Certifikate quality).
39% of the shown ofspring has won at least 1 CAC (certifikate for the championship)
17% of the shown ofspring has got at least 1 Championtitle (in either Denmark or other countries).
That is a average that makes us quite proud !
